Warehouse Associate

LinHR's client is specializing in distributing high quality laminate flooring and related products. In 2014, they opened their first wholesale Centre in Toronto, Canada. Their products were broadly accepted and promoted in the market because of its great cost-performance. They gradually opened 8 more wholesale centers across Canada. They ensure their products can be picked up by clients all over Canada in a convenient distance

They are hiring a Full-time Warehouse Associate to join their team in Ajax, ON L1S 6N1.
Job Description
About the role: Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring efficiency in the receiving and shipment of products. This position is responsible for the picking, loading and unloading of regular shipments, which may include heavy lifting, and the use of any necessary equipment.
Total annual salary would be Regular Salary: $20.00 per hour + Annual Bonus

​Responsibilities  

  • Be knowledgeable regarding all company’s products.
  • Skillfully using warehouse equipment for loading, unloading, and sorting of goods, and when necessary, moving/lifting goods under 70 pounds by hands.
  • Coordinate all areas of the warehouse including picking and packing, shipping and receiving and inventory control to ensure smooth daily operations and achievement of KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as sales, order desk and our 3rd party transportation company to ensure positive contribution to meeting business operational goals and efficiencies.
  • Conducting periodic product cycle counts.
  • Strictly follow the company's policies, regulations, and work disciplines, be punctual, not leave or absence without permission.
  • Maintain neatness and cleanliness of warehouse.
  • Responsible for forklift maintenance and repairs.
  • Adherence to the safety rules and practices designed to ensure safety of operations and condition of stock.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements​

  • Forklift Certification required
  • Secondary school diploma and above
  • 1-3 years working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 70 pounds
  • Able to communicate in both English and Chinese
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Working knowledge of safe lifting methods​
