Trade Marketing Manager / Marketing Manage

LinHR's client - is committed to providing tomorrow's vaping solutions. They are developing and pioneering both technology and programs focused on empowering adult smokers through technology and design ethically. They take this responsibility very seriously -- since their inception, it has been their commitment to prevent and discourage the use of e-cigarettes by minors and people who are not smokers or vapers through the 'Guardian Program. This program is a company-wide initiative that stretches from product development to sales through concerted efforts with retailers to step up on-site identification.
They are looking for a Trade Marketing Manager / Marketing Manage. It is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package. 
It is a remote position. The successful candidate can work from home in Ontario, Canada. 

Responsibilities  

1) Trade Marketing Strategy:
  • Coordinate with global trade marketing and local sales team to develop, implement Trade Marketing Strategy and Promo plans to drive equity and relationships with distributors, key accounts, retailers
  • Develop quarterly marketing campaigns, activation plan; manage end-to-end process management
  • New product launch - Trade Marketing & Marketing Strategy Design, Activation Planning, DT Comm 
​2) Trade Marketing Execution: 
  • Develop channel/customer specific trade programs and manage in-market execution to optimally approach each trade channel (e.g., 2B, 2C, customer engagement stream, distribution / coverage stream)
  • Design, develop, distribute quarterly POSM materials and trade assets with external stakeholders
  • DT, Field team, BA training and development for optimal in-call execution and trade program execution
  • Ensure Online and Offline campaigns synergy; engage distributor/DSR for SFA execution   
3) Trade/Shopper communication & Education:
  • Develop, communicate to distributors, retailers for all trade activities in a timely, professional manner 
  • Manage all trade events, press releases, publications, social media through superior project management while delivering on aligned objectives with reasonable budget/cost working with 3rd party agencies 
4) Local Market Insight – Consumer, Industry, Competition Monitor:  
  • Closely monitor the local category trend, market competition, consumer behaviour changes through frequent local market visit and share the observation, insights, intel with the local sales team and management team, HQ teams for new product development, commercial strategy adjustment, etc.   
5) Project Management & Data Analysis: 
  • Leverage in-house S/I & S/O data assets to derive opportunities in the trade / retail universe and build compelling business cases with recommended product (SPU/SKU) optimization against commercial target
  • S&M efficiency management - trade marketing activities, promo efficiency optimization vs. sales target 
  • Responsible for local POSM FCST accuracy, usage tracking, HQ/local stock management vs. execution

Requirements​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or any equivalent field 
  • At least 5-6 years' experience in Trade Marketing, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Channel Development roles in FMCG, Consumer Electronics, and preferably in Tobacco/Vaping industry
  • Creative in identifying target audiences, devising campaigns that engage, inform, motivate  
  • Great understanding & networking in Canadian Vaping/Tobacco industry is preferred
  • Great familiarity with the local Canadian Vaping regulation and law is a strong asset   
  • Decent cross-functional collaboration experience with Sales, GTM, Branding, EA, Legal, Finance teams  
  • Great understanding of financial measures (ROI), budget FCST/management is a strong asset  
  • Strong ownership and great interpersonal communication skills are required  
  • Result-driven, details oriented; hard-worker, great team player
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin speaking is a great asset
