Technical Support Engineer

​About the client: The client located in GTA which sells IP cameras, NVRs, encoder/decoder, and IP SAN through partners. It is the Canadian exclusive distributor of Uniview Technologies Co, the 4th biggest manufacturer of video surveillance products in the global market. As a major importer and distributor of video surveillance equipment in Canada, they are seeking a motivated and innovative person for a bilingual inside sales representative with the objective to grow profitability – This Full-Time position is in Toronto, Ontario. 

Responsibilities  

  • Working as Customer Support Tech: is responsible for completing technical support work locally and remotely as requested by field technicians. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Technical lead, focusing on CCTV and networking design and integration aspects, of all technologies proposed for bids and deployed on projects, including all hardware and software components (Networks, CCTV, Access Control, etc.).
  • Technical support: pre-sales and after sales.
  • Prepare and conduction technical presentation and training
  • Technical document writing and vendor or peer document review

Requirements​

  • Strong working knowledge of computers.
  • Proficient knowledge in IP network, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge in IP video surveillance application is preferred
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize efficiently and effectively to handle their daily responsibilities and serve our customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree or the final year of the undergrad degree
  • High English proficiency (written & oral) is required
  • French or Chinese are preferred
  • 2 years experience of CCTV, Access Control technical support is preferred
  • CCNA certification is preferred
