Taekwondo Club Manager

About the client: LinHR Client, Canada Elite Spirit Taekwondo Club Inc. is located in Toronto, Ontario, a Taekwondo Martial Arts School offering taekwondo classes for all ages in Toronto and GTA. Canada Elite Spirit Taekwondo Club Inc. offers classes 6 days a week in all belts, and extra special training classes will be offered on Sunday if necessary. Giving you a wide array of different programs, the club offers courses for beginner, intermediate, and experienced students; family classes; black belt classes; self-defenses, and competitive/sport taekwondo special training. They seek a passionate and forward-thinking Taekwondo Club Manager to oversee the operations.
It is a permanent Full-Time position, location is Unit 2B13 and 2B15, 4675 Steeles Avenue East, Toronto, ON, M1V 4S5
  • Salary: $47.50-$52/hour
  • Hours of work: 39 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
  • Vacation per year starts 2 weeks, 3 weeks after completion of 5 years.

​Responsibilities  

  • Planning and organizing the operations of Taekwondo martial arts programs
  • Developing policies and procedures for the Taekwondo club and implementing programs
  • Managing the operation of the Taekwondo studio
  • Evaluating the operation of Taekwondo martial arts programs
  • Determining the matters like program design and adjustment, facilities improvement
  • Estimating and controlling the budget and determining the financial and accounting matters
  • Recruiting instructors, employees, and players and determining human resources matters
  • Negotiating and signing relevant contracts and documents on behalf of the Taekwondo club.

Requirements​

  • College diploma or above
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Taekwondo martial arts teaching and sport or fitness center management
  • Blackbelt 2nd Dan level or above certification
  • Excellent leadership and management skills to build and develop an inspiring atmosphere for members and the team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to improve sales performance
  • Proven success in leading, training and motivating teams
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
  • Has the mindset and focus on taking the club to the next level and beyond
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
  • English is fluent.
