The Director Biologics Discovery – Immunology Group​ is in ShangHai City. 
The role will expand the capabilities with a Director/ Sr. Director with extensive experience in immunology, immune-oncology and cancer biology. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing novel immune-therapies for oncology and autoimmune diseases.

Responsibilities 

• Build and lead a group of scientists experienced in a range of disciplines, from molecular and cell biology, immunology, genetics, to develop novel cellular immunotherapies and oncolytic virus-based immunotherapies, etc.
• Expand the immuno-oncology and immunology pipeline by identifying new targets and advancing projects in the current pipeline.
• Lead integrated discovery projects, publish cutting edge science and technology
• Collaborate with project leaders, function heads, key internal and external stakeholders to advance portfolio projects.
• Recruit, train and retain talented employees 

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Genetics or related field.
• 10+ years of experience developing and leading therapeutic drug discovery programs in an industrial setting, or equivalent academic experience.
• Ability to contribute at a scientific and strategic level to drug discovery research programs in immunology, including proposal and identification/validation of novel targets.
• Experience with molecular cloning techniques, mammalian cell culture and use of viral vectors to introduce genetic material into cells.
• Ability to organize and communicate complex data sets in a clear and concise manner to key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. 
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary, matrixed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise and outstanding record of research and publications in immunology, immuno-oncology and cancer biology.
• Proven experience with biologics drug discovery and demonstrable knowledge of multiple large molecule formats and associated technologies.
• Experience with developing cellular immunotherapies, and/ or oncolytic virus-based immunotherapies is strongly preferred.
• Outstanding management, communication and interpersonal skills.
