Regional Sourcing Manager - US & CAN

About the client: LinHR's client is an overall provider of power transmission, transformation, and distribution infrastructure. Established in 2016, they are committed to providing valuable services and products by using their innovative technologies and scheme. They ensure a complete power solution including engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance. Their headquarters are based in Shanghai, China and are partly owned by Shanghai Shemar Power Engineering Co.

This is a Full Time position in Canada and the United States. This is a remote position. 

​Responsibilities  

  • Aid in development and implementation of supply chain strategy and annual goals/plans
  • Develop work plans regularly based on long term supply chain strategy 
  • Analyze the global macroeconomic environment, suppliers' costs, operating conditions, future trends, etc. to optimize current work strategies and practices
  • Establish supplier access and regulatory regimes, organize supplier inspection, review and grading
  • Collect requirements of procurement, continuously optimize existing supplier resources, and develop new supplier resources while improving quality and lowering costs
  • Lead the company's key and major procurement project negotiations, follow up the implementation and implementation of the contract
  •  Organize the establishment and training of various management systems, processes and standards of the department;
  • Manage the internal team through target performance and implement effective talent training programs to continuously improve team capabilities
  • Arrange organization settings, determine posts and allocation management according to annual business goals and plans 

Requirements​

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a business related program
  • 10+ years of related experience, in a purchasing or global purchasing role
  • Familiar with both Canadian and American markets
  • Knowledge of supply base, transmission, substation & distribution of high voltage is considered an asset
  • Professional understanding of quality, safety and environmental management, project management, and financial management
  • High level of analytical, communication and negotiations skills
