 Quality Assurance Assistant​ ​

The client is a health solutions company that specializes in personalized cancer care and aims to provide treatment solutions based on the comprehensive analyses of patients’ genomic profile. The company is translating scientific knowledge into the well-being of the patients. Its mission is to bring precision cancer care to patients through the combination of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and up-to-date cancer knowledge base. It is currently headquartered both in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, with more than 900 employees. 

The client is seeking a highly motivated quality assurance assistant to ensure that all company procedures, services and products meet internal quality standards as well as external regulations. Quality assurance assistant works with the quality assurance manager to make sure procedures, services and products adhere to established quality standards, maintain legal compliance, and usually work on a team. Successful candidates are flexible, proactive workers with excellent communication skills and strongly analytical minds.

Responsibilities 

  • Aides in implementation of quality management system
  • Maintain and update company procedures and policies
  • Meet with and/or interview staff to author and edit SOPs in clear and concise language
  • Maintain document control, create and maintain necessary databases
  • Perform accurate data entry and record keeping
  • Create user documentation for a variety of material, including working sheets, SOPs, flow charts and other work aids
  • Create or update low to intermediate complexity of analytical reports
  • Conduct necessary research for the choice of terminology and maintain the terminology database on a continuous basis
  • Assist in quality assurance audit
  • Perform workplace inspections and conduct incident investigations
  • Other duties as assigned​​

Requirements

  • BSc in biology, chemistry or other related major with basic understanding of biology system and biology experimental work
  • Industrial quality assurance experience is an asset
  • Able to handle fast-paced environment while maintaining close attention to deadlines, details, and quality
  • Analytical thinking – can draw relevant conclusions from data, prepare data for presentation and reporting, identify patterns, and come up with viable solutions
  • Communication skills –quality assurance assistants work with colleagues, management, and clients on a daily basis. A good quality assurance assistant can get the information they need efficiently without disrupting the flow of business.
  • Technical writing – this position requires a strong grasp of formal and excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). Proficient in MS Office tools and basic statistic tools.
  • Self-motivation –the quality assurance assistant role is flexible and varies from day to day. Successful quality assurance assistants can identify solutions independently and work with minimal supervision.
