 Payroll Administrator

LinHR's client is one of the world’s leading automotive systems and components manufacturers. Their Toronto Office in North York, ON is urgently looking for a Payroll Administrator. It is a temporary position with a potential opportunity to be a Full-Time role. This position reports to the Director of Compensation.

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for accurate, timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for around 200 Salaried US employees and 500 hourly Canadian employees
  • Manage all employee payroll inquiries
  • Processing and filing T4, T4A, T5, T5018 and other year-end payroll documents
  • Balance respective payrolls based on year-end calendar
  • Remit all Third-Party Remittances by defined due dates
  • Manage all garnishment orders, EI claims, and government correspondence
  • Prepare/issue ROEs as required
  • Coordinates timely and accurate enrollment and updates in benefit plans
  • Assist with the new hire onboarding process
  • ​Provide support to the accounting team on various duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned​

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Excellent Computer skills including Excel.
  • Working knowledge of ADP WFN in the US, ADP people@work and Pay@work for Canada and eZLabor TLM would be an asset.
  • In depth Knowledge of Payroll regulations
  • Working knowledge of Employment Standards
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and positive interpersonal skills
  • ​​Post secondary degree, diploma, Payroll Certification or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
