OEM Business Development Manager/Director

About the client: LinHR's client is an overall provider of power transmission, transformation, and distribution infrastructure. Established in 2016, they are committed to providing valuable services and products by using their innovative technologies and scheme. They ensure a complete power solution including engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance. Their headquarters are based in Shanghai, China.

 ​OEM Business Development Manager or Director ​is a Full Time position in the United States or Canada. This is a remote position. 

This is a role that supports company’s globalization strategy. In order to maximize market share of power equipment,  it’s subsidiary serves a critical part, which need to be the pioneer in power equipment sales, quantitatively and qualitatively.

​This role is responsible for BD & sales strategy execution, supporting sales & BD activities, integrating resources, conducting market researches, business processes suggestion, transfer customer value, and achieve annual financial goal, based on company value, mission, and vision — to create value and provide more economical electricity in the overseas.

​Responsibilities  

  • Fully understand mission and vision of the organization and promote the company products and solutions in the target Countries and Customers, 
  • Achieve Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly targets on a consistent basis,
  • Manage and follow up business opportunities of the department and give business guidance at different business stages,
  • Driving engagement and build relationship in the OEM companies in the assigned region,
  • Together with the BD of the country, develop a strategy in the final customer (utilities) to change the specification to allow or request composite insulators in the main substation equipment,
  • Make sure customers truly understand the value and benefit of our products & solutions,
  • Establish long-term trust and stable cooperative relations with key customers,
  • Identify opportunities and develop new markets and new businesses, follow up all composite equipment purchases in the assigned area even if it is supplied by a foreign company,
  • Support the R&D team to develop new products for the OEM market according to the customer requirements,
  • Establish and manage customer files and information,
  • Understanding market according to the requirements of the Marketing Department, generate market research reports,
  • Enable the market and customers to fully understand the value of Company’s solutions from a technical perspective,
  • Expand market share in target Countries by bringing win-win benefits to customers and partners,
  • Convert end users to composite insulators by demonstrating the value of new materials in the power grid,
  • Achieve on-time dispatch and invoicing at soonest after goods readiness,
  • Get the payment collection according to contract.

Requirements​

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • More than 5 years work experience in same position of target countries insulator or electric OEM companies. Work experience in hollow insulator manufacturers is preferable.
  • Good university, good company, good performance and good customer relationship
  • Proven track record of successful business acquisitions and opportunity creation
  • Knowledge of target Countries electric industry
  • Familiar with Latin American culture, regulations and policies
  • Knowledge of business development
  • Recognize the competitive quickly, and have the business development thoughts;
  • Excellent skills in empathy, team working, communication, customer management, opportunity identification and business development;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and identify customer pain areas for creating value proposition;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, it will be preferable if candidates is fluent in local language of the assigned territory.
  • Good organization skills and capacity to work remotely;
  • Demonstrated ability to travel extensively (Up to 60% of working days).
