Mechanical Design Engineer

About the client: Our client is a large multinational electronics contract manufacturer.  The client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team for an intelligent manufacturing project in Mexico. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting research on automation project requirements, assessing technical feasibility, and producing customized automation solutions. You will be involved in detailed design of non-standard automated equipment, as well as overseeing equipment installation, debugging, and after-sales service. Effective communication and coordination with clients will also be a key aspect of this role.
This is a Full Time position. The work location is Guadalajara, Mexico.

​Responsibilities  

  • Conduct research on automation project requirements and assess technical feasibility.
  • Develop customized automation solutions.
  • Undertake detailed design of non-standard automated equipment.
  • Oversee equipment installation, debugging, and after-sales service.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients effectively.

Requirements​

  • Bachelor's degree or above with at least 3 years of experience in mechanical design of non-standard automated equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E, or similar design software.
  • Background in mechanical engineering or related field, with familiarity in various mechanical transmission principles, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical theory and extensive on-site construction experience preferred.
  • Strong practical skills, teamwork spirit, and communication skills. Ability to coordinate effectively.
  • Willingness to serve overseas long-term (proficiency in Spanish/English/Chinese preferred).
