IDC Project & Facility Manager​

LinHR's client - the leading telecommunications services provider provides a full range of comprehensive international telecommunications services which includes IDD, roaming, Internet, MNC services and Value Added Business across the globe. It has expanded its footprint in 22 countries across different regions. ​

Our client is looking for a driven and versatile IDC Project & Facility Manager.  It is a full time position. The work location is San Jose. 

Responsibilities  

  • Project management for the data center design and constructions in the Development stage,
  • Ensure contractors’ proposals are consistent with confirmed tendering, such as drawings and equipment,
  • Ensure all the equipment such as power/cooling/fire extinguish/water systems to operate safely and stably,
  • Manage day to day operation including repair and maintenance, Security, cleaning, change control process, procurement, accounting & budgeting related issue,
  • Manage checking; testing and commissioning on all systems and equipment to ensure all equipment are workable as expectation, e.g. chiller, CRAC unit,
  • Manage/execute Data Centre’s expansion, modification, maintenance or new customer move-in projects,
  • Manages specifications, problems/issues, performance and administration,
  • Responsible for communicate with design consultants for solutions design and design approval,
  • Responsible for data center construction project management included safety, health and risk management,
  • Responsible for project commissioning and final accounting,
  • Engages with internal stakeholders to gain feedback on customers’ enquiry,
  • As an incident manager to manage all incidents and prepare incident reports,
  • Lead the 7x24 IDC teams to deliver quality services and ensure reliable and efficient operations for the data center services,
  • Monitor the activities and services related to facilities, data center network and customer support within the data center to ensure compliance with service pledge, company procedures and best practices,
  • Manage performance monitoring and reporting
  • Manage data center staff, maintaining good employee engagement and morale,
  • Maintain communication with internal teams and customers.

Requirements​

  • Bachelor degree in Building Services, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunication or relevant discipline,
  • Minimum 10 years’ solid experience in data center facility management in which 5 years in supervisory role,
  • Experience in data center design and/or constructions projects is preferred,
  • Familiar with data center facilities, operation procedures, security practices and internet technologies,
  • Possession of Certified Data Centre Professional qualification an advantage,
  • Knowledge in ISO 27001, ISO 20000 and ISO 9000 is a plus,
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinking with sound analytical skills,
  • Strong leadership, result-driven with good organizational skills,
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Proficiency in mandarin is an advantage.
