Electrician

Founded in 1996, LinHR’s client is a leading bakery manufacturer supplying desserts to all major retailers and food service operators in North America. They have over 200 dedicated employees working at our state-of-the-art facility in downtown Mississauga. Their key to success lies in our passion for supplying quality products to our customers while thriving for continuous improvements. They have been growing fast and now looking for a high energy, proactive and passionate Electrician to join in their great team.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment remains in good working condition including
  • Preventative maintenance which is to be performed and documented on all machinery on a regular basis to ensure efficient production operations and compliance with governing legislation.
  • Provide maintenance repair and problem troubleshooting & corrective action function on plant equipment and support systems.
  • Physical lifting and bending is required for this position.

Responsibilities​
  • Good electrical equipment troubleshooting skills and aptitude.
  • Familiarity with PLC’s & programming software, and their interaction with electrical components.
  • The ability to troubleshoot, repair and install high speed filling machines with a comprehensive working knowledge of electrical systems and components to allow efficient repair/replacement results.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance and regular work orders and account for inventory and labor on computerized maintenance system.
  • Perform documented regular preventative maintenance inspections on all electrical equipment.
  • Ensure that all coders are in good functional working order.
  • Assist the production lines with change overs and set ups.
  • Identify and report identified hazards and fulfill all Health & Safety, WHMIS, MSDS, and GMP policy requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to people at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others cooperatively, safely and in a structured and team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen and follow instruction.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay excellent attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements​
  • Ontario Industrial Electrician license.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrician is required
  • Ability to read, interpret and update Electrical and Mechanical drawings / schematics is required
  • Experience in the following areas: Equipment Repairs, Equipment Improvements, Equipment Upgrades, New Equipment Installations, Preventive Maintenance, Knowledge and experience with installing, troubleshooting and repairing Programming Logic Controllers
