Business Development Manager Logistics

About the client: LinHR's client is a Global leader in providing ecommerce fulfillment and shipping solutions to online retailers and marketplace sellers. The Global fulfillment and distribution network, and suite of 3PL fulfillment services helps clients to expand global market share, reduce costs, and streamline the fulfillment process while at the same time improving the client delivery experience. Currently, the client has an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the fast-growing and dynamic eCommerce fulfillment sales team! This role will work out of Monroe, NJ US headquarters facility. Work from home with business traveling is also available.
The company has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Professional to be part of the dynamic global ecommerce fulfillment sales team. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including lead generation, qualifying, identifying prospective client needs, positioning solutions, presenting pricing proposals and closing new business. The successful Business Development Manager will feel comfortable picking up the phone and making outbound cold sales calls to potential prospects, be able to analyze data and spreadsheets, position value and at the same time keep an active pipeline. The position will require the candidate to be consistently closing and onboarding new business.

​Responsibilities  

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue growth and target goals
  • Maintains an active pipeline with new business opportunities
  • Realistically forecasts sales and revenue estimates to the management team
  • Understands client and perspective client’s ecommerce strategies to position global ecommerce fulfillment and shipping solutions
  • Understands the company's value proposition and can position advantages to close new business in a competitive ecommerce fulfillment landscape
  • Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships by using a consultative sale approach
  • Works with account management team and onboarding team, account managers and sales support coordinator to ensure new clients are onboarded correctly and proper SOPs are in place
  • Monitors market trends including industry, competitor and customer developments, and funnels relevant information internally
  • Participates in exhibitions, trade shows and industry functions
  • Provide continuous feedback to management on both successes and challenges of the business.

Requirements​

  • A minimum of 3 years successful inside or face to face selling experience preferably selling ecommerce fulfillment services
  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B. A.) in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Be willing to learn and follow a consultative sales approach
  • Have experience working with ecommerce warehouse operations and shipping service providers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with domestic and cross-border shipping services
  • Must possess good analytical skills, be tech-savvy, and detail-oriented
  • Have a proven track record of successful sales achievement
  • Communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with customer executives, IT management, and internal stakeholders
