Associate, Business Development​

The client is a health solutions company that specializes in personalized cancer care and aims to provide treatment solutions based on the comprehensive analyses of patients’ genomic profile.  The company is impassioned by the tremendous forward momentum of cancer genomics and targeted treatment. Informed by cutting edge cancer research, the company is translating scientific knowledge into the well-being of the patients. Its mission is to bring precision cancer care to patients through the combination of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and up-to-date cancer knowledge base.  
The company is currently headquartered in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China.


The Associate will work with Business Development Manager in support of high priority clientele and projects in North America and internationally. While being a key client contact, the Associate will be responsible for developing business development assets and workflows to support both sales and marketing activities.

The work location is Toronto, ON, Canada. 

Responsibilities 

  • Generating new leads based on the company’s go-to-market plan
  • Contact leads through emailing, cold calling
  • Assist in the negotiations and contracting process for client accounts
  • Onboard new accounts and ensure that all mandatory documentation is organized and complete
  • Maintain account-related information in the CRM database
  • Maintain accounts to ensure delivery is aligned internally
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, custodians and coworkers in a timely and professional manner
  • Help build and execute marketing content and assets including email campaigns, social media posts and press releases
  • Provide support for other team members
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in biological sciences (i.e. Biology, Biotechnology. Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Immunology)
  • At least 1 year of business development or client service experience and have strong desire to work in a team-oriented and entrepreneurial business development environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Digital marketing and graphic design experience are strong assets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • High data input accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong personal initiative combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is preferred.
