Account Manager (Optical)​

LinHR's client - a global leader in optical design and manufacturing with strong design and cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities. Its mobile compact lens/camera, automotive lens technology and business shares are ranked at the top the world. 
The client's business include all research, design, development, test and qualification of compact camera lens, AR/VR related optics components and systems, drone related optics components, diffractive optical elements, automotive illumination optics, etc. The North America team is looking for an Account Manager to work on various exciting projects and help the company in growing its North America business.
This is a full-time position based in San Jose, CA and will report to the general manager of the company with tight collaboration with teams in China HQ. This job has the opportunity to work in a small but highly effective and rapid growth team; the opportunity to understand mass production in the optical industry and the optical component business.

Responsibilities  

  • Build and maintain long-lasting business relationship with customer’s sourcing, operation, and R&D teams 
  • Serve as liaison between internal team and customers’ teams regarding day-to-day operation issues
  • Drive revenue and sales by engaging with existing customer’s sourcing team
  • Plan methodically for future customer and revenue expansion
  • Competitor research regarding pricing and sales strategies
  • Market research regarding product trend, industry trend and consumer demand trend

Requirements​

  • 3+ years of industry (account management) experience, preferably in consumer electronics components or related industry
  • BS in Optics/Electronics/Physics/Mechanics
  • Excellent technical, management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working with big accounts or Tier 1 customers a big plus
  • Deep understanding of modern electronics components manufacturing methods and processes
  • Any camera lens, component manufacturing experience a big plus
  • Strong passion in establishing and retaining a long-term meaningful relationship with customers
  • Self-starter with qualities such as innovation, integrity and attention to details
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese
